  • Objectives for Orientation Weeks (first 5 classes):
    • get a sense of the expectations for the entire semester (Orientation Weeks, Module I, Module II, CM PD Conference) in these classes
    • explore the iPad as a personal tool as well as an educational tool
    • develop more confidence (more than you already have...no matter how much you have or don't have when the semester starts) in your comfort with risk taking when it comes to trying out and figuring out new technologies (hardware and/or software)
    • critique iPad apps based on criteria for critiquing any technology that you might want to use in your classroom
    • give a presentation on an iPad app in your discipline or appropriate to a general middle/high school classroom
    • as a group, create a listing of the contents of what we'd like to have in a textbook on Classroom Management, organize into chapters, assign chapters to teams
